THOUGHTS
I see Richard
has a new post out... I shall go read it.
This will be my 25th morning post. I hope you all have enjoyed it as much
as I have. There’s just something about stimulating the mind that is
special. When we place all this in the Lord’s court, it is GOOD! I
love it!
I think we all struggle to make our lives ALIVE. A certain tired,
lethargic, apathy potential belongs to all of us doesn’t it? Tired in
body, then tired in mind, then tired in spirit...
This is the arena of OVERCOMING! The TIREDNESS can come from any
source... just living seems to make us susceptible. Please go back
and read 2Pet 1:1-12.
I believe Jesus got to the source of our conflict in Matthew 13.
Following the parable of the sower, the we read what Jesus had to say.
Matt 13:9-17 "He who has ears, let him hear."
10 And the disciples came and said to Him, "Why do You speak to them
in parables?" 11 Jesus answered them, "To you it has been
granted to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it has not
been granted. 12 "For whoever has, to him more shall be given, and
he will have an abundance; but whoever does not have, even what he has shall be
taken away from him.
13 "Therefore I speak to them in parables; because while seeing they
do not see, and while hearing they do not hear, nor do they understand. 14
"In their case the prophecy of Isaiah is being fulfilled, which
says, ‘YOU WILL KEEP ON HEARING, BUT WILL NOT UNDERSTAND; YOU WILL KEEP ON
SEEING, BUT WILL NOT PERCEIVE; 15 FOR THE HEART OF THIS PEOPLE HAS BECOME
DULL, WITH THEIR EARS THEY SCARCELY HEAR, AND THEY HAVE CLOSED THEIR EYES,
OTHERWISE THEY WOULD SEE WITH THEIR EYES, HEAR WITH THEIR EARS, AND UNDERSTAND
WITH THEIR HEART AND RETURN, AND I WOULD HEAL THEM.’
16 "But blessed are your eyes, because they see; and your ears,
because they hear. 17 "For truly I say to you that many prophets and
righteous men desired to see what you see, and did not see it, and to hear what
you hear, and did not hear it.
Let’s note some key words... HEAR, UNDERSTAND, SEE, PERCEIVE, DULL,
CLOSED EYES, HEART and HEAL! Ponder each of these words. Both
sides of the coin are here!
The Parable did two thing simultaneously. It was the source of
heaven or hell.
2Cor 2:14-17 But thanks be to God, who always leads us in triumph
in Christ, and manifests through us the sweet aroma of the knowledge of Him in
every place. 15 For we are a fragrance of Christ to God among those who
are being saved and among those who are perishing; 16 to the one an aroma
from death to death, to the other an aroma from life to life. And who is
adequate for these things? 17 For we are not like many, peddling the word
of God, but as from sincerity, but as from God, we speak in Christ in the sight
of God.
WE MUST NOT EVER GET TIRED OF TRUE HEARING!
My Prayer:
Jehovah God, you have poured our your words on us in such marvelous ways.
Help us dear God to take them in with all enthusiasm continually. Keep
our minds keen and alive and joyful as we feast on your holy word. May
Your Mind become our mind. Bless us this day!
In Jesus name
Amen
